1WorldSync Global Apprenticeship

For the first time, 1WorldSync was able to send seven of our apprentices abroad to one of our US locations. 1WS was chosen as one of 19 companies in Germany to be funded as part of an EU global education program. For several weeks our apprentices were able to gather work experience in Chicago.

The trip not only provided our trainees with valuable experiences such as insights in the cooperation between the two offices in Germany and the US, but also on a personal level. Our apprentices supported the teams in different departments, among them Professional Services, Infrastructure and Data Centers, Human Resources, Marketing, and Office Management.

Activities, such as cheering during the 2018 World Cup games in meeting rooms, lunch breaks with colleagues from various departments, watching the Chicago White Sox vs. Minnesota Twins baseball game or enjoying a city trip together contributed to their intense cohesion and made their stay an unforgettable time.

We are very happy that our company has been able to offer this opportunity to our apprentices. Due to this very special experience for them, 1WorldSync GmbH was also awarded by the IHK (German Chamber of Commerce). This award honors companies that enable foreign assignments for apprentices.

If you would like to learn more about our apprentices staying in Chicago, check out this interview by a local paper that focuses on education and apprenticeship programs (please find the translation here).

Best regards,
